Well I had the privilege of heading into the back country today with some stand up fellows. Noah Lohr, Jason Heckle and Tucker Andrews joined me on a little excursion behind Brighton. We hiked up to the top of Wolverine, then headed over to a nearby ridge where we planned to drop a cornice into a nice steep slope. On the way to said cornice, a touring skier tapped it with his pole, it broke, and set off a sizable avalanche into the slope below. We were lucky that we hadn't been the cause of this break. We rode down a safer zone, and built a really nice jump on which every rider got at least one shot. Here are some photos from the journey. Winter's not yet over...
